Over the course of a few days we will help you go from a complete beginner to a certified diver in our PADI Open Water Diver course. You will be guided personally by our VIP Diving instructors to ensure you gain all you need to dive safely, responsibly and enjoyably anywhere in the world.
*Divers certified between the ages of 10-14 earn a Junior Diver certification. Junior Open Water Divers automatically become Open Water Divers at age 15.
Your dive experience
The course kicks off with the theory in the PADI eLearning. This can be done even before your arrival to Bonaire. You will then meet your VIP Diving instructor at the dive center. In a small group of four you move to the pool, practicing basic scuba skills.
Soon you’ll have mastered the basics. Your instructor leads you on some amazing dives in Bonaire’s open waters. You will explore the vibrant reefs together with your group and gain confidence with every dive. By the end, you’ve proudly become a certified diver!

PADI eLearning
5-10 hours
The PADI eLearning makes it easy to fit scuba lessons into your schedule. It covers everything from equipment and safety to diving principles. Connect with your instructor whenever you have a question.
Diving with instructor
3 days - 4 dives
You will start in a small group of four with your VIP Diving instructor. Once you’ve mastered the basics in confined water, you will move into open water dives along Bonaire’s reef.
