Ireland

A stunning coral dive which derives its name from two truly unique and extremely large patches of Pencil Coral. It sort of gives you the idea of the grassy meadows on the hills of Ireland. We have never seen Pencil Coral at this scale anywhere. And this is just a small part of a drift dive that covers an all out beautiful coral reef. Lots and lots of big healthy hard corals between fields of Sea Fans and other soft Corals. We often find Sting Ray, Turtles and Spiny Lobster hiding between it all.
Also large Grouper, Trunk Fish, Cubera-, Gray- and Dog Snapper, Queen Trigger and schools of Horse Eye Jack cruising in the blue. Around the 60 feet area we find many large Giant Barrel Sponges.
Depending on the speed of the current and our exit point we may come across a group of large old canon and a canon ball field in the shallows.
And also in this area we find many Longhorn-, Seaweed- and Rough Head Blennies as we approach our exit.
Both entry and exit are with rolling surf
